Longford Triathlon Club is committed to promoting sport in young people and welcomes all levels of junior triathletes from beginner to experienced. All children are encouraged to reach their individual potential and most of all have fun doing it! We strive to foster a culture of health, safety and wellbeing while taking part in the disciplines of swimming, cycling and running.
The minimum age for joining our Youth section is 15 years and we would like the young triathlete to be able to swim at least 2 lengths of a 25m pool.
The training for the Youths includes two open water-based swimming session each week during the months of May to September and then pool swimming sessions the other months, October to April.
The open water swim session take part in various locations within Longford and Leitrim.
Run and Bike sessions details will be posted soon.
All training sessions are under the guidance of a trained instructor(s).
We all play a role!.
